Graham Poll

Graham Poll was born in 1963 and grew up in Stevenage living in Bandley Hill and Shephall. He went to Ashtree Juniors and then on to Alleynes School. He started refereeing in local football when he was 17 years old and steadily became more qualified. until in August 1993 at the age of thirty he was appointed as a Premiership Referee.
Three years later he was appointed to FIFA and officiated in the World Cups of 2002 in Korea/Japan and also in Germany in 2006. He has also refereed in the European Championships of 2000, a European Cup Final in 2005, the FA Cup Final in 2000 and many other top matches. Graham has refereed 100 international games and 329 Premier League matches and has been described on many occasions as the best referee in the world.
