Mollie Smith

Mollie competed in her first Senior International Competition in October 2007 when she represented Scotland in the Northern European Championships in Dublin, where the team won the Bronze Medal (out of ten Countries competing). The fourteen year old is a member of the Marriotts Gymnastics Club in Stevenage, and attends Marriotts Sports College. Before this she went to Lodge Farm Primary School.
She is a member of the Scottish National Squad and in 2007, became Scottish National Junior Champion on vault and took Silver on floor, bars and beam. To compete at this level Mollie trains for over 20 hours per week. Her favourite piece of apparatus is floor. In 2008 Mollie represented Scotland in the Celtic Cup where the team gained the silver medal. In the 2009 Scottish Championships Mollie won the Gold medal for the Vault. In addition, Mollie has progressed into coaching and is also a qualified gymnastics judge.
