Steve Darlow

Whilst living in the Old Town I went to Alleyne's School Stevenage from 1978 to 1985. Then to Loughborough University graduating with a 2:1 in Physical Education Sports Science and Mathematics. Whilst playing for Loughborough we won the universities championship and I represented and captained English Universities and British Universities. I have played for Stevenage, Ware, Hemel Hempstead and Leicester in the National Leagues.
Certain highlights include being named in the National League Division 1 All Star Five, and playing in numerous All Star games. I also led the team to the Division 1 league title with Greene King Stevenage Rebels in 1997 and runners-up in the play-off finals at Wembley. I was honoured with 16 England caps. The international highlight no doubt being a member of the Commonwealth Championship Gold Medal winning team in Edinburgh in 1991 (although I didn't actually get on in the final but did play in all the other games).
