Phil paddled for the squad in all races of which there where many, covering distances of 200m, 500m, 2000m. Phil came home with a Bronze medal and Sarah came home with two Silvers and a Bronze.

They then both went on to be selected again to represent GBR as part of the Senior A squad for the second time to compete at the European Dragon Boating Championships in Brandenburg - Germany (August 2018).

They have also had the opportunity of competing with friends in Italy, racing with the Italian ASD Elliott Dragon Boating Team, competing in Venice at the ICF Dragon Boat Club Crew World Championships in 2017. Sarah took charge of the helm this time and steered the team to victory winning a Gold Medal which made the news for team over in Italy.

Plans for the future

They are currently part of the Raging Dragons team based in the Isle of Dogs in London and last season in 2018 the team won the Mixed League for the first time in the clubs history.

Sarah is now a Qualified Level 2 Dragon Boating Coach along with an Advanced Race helm and is hoping to help the National Premier League team this season bring back more medals and silverware. Phil meanwhile has also taken up Trail and Road running and has entered the Great Ouse Marathon 2019 so is currently in training for that.
