He is raising money for the Mayors charity fund. https://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/JimBrown20
He got tremendous support from Liz Smith, Wendy Tharani and Nicola Andersson who ran. Nicola was running her first half marathon distance.
All Covid aware - please note that this was before the new lockdown restrictions came into effect. Mostly 2 plus 2 with occasional looping back by the faster runners to keep everyone in sight of each other.
Penny Schenkel cycled to check the route ahead of us and took all the pictures. Peter Eames was the water carrier. Zander Brown was the sweeper on a bicycle.

If you live in:
It was waves and ripples again but another real 10K race on Sunday. However the temperature had dropped about twelve degrees in a few days and the breeze was up in the exposed parts of the course at Lee Valley Run Fest.
Nine Spartans enjoyed the event. 14th overall and with a new personal best of 36 minutes 24 seconds was ADRIAN BUSOLINI. He said his last actual 10K race was a Midweek League event some 15 months ago, where he just managed to squeeze out a sub-40' - making this a three-and-a-half minute improvement.
Spartan NICK KLEANTHOUS completed a RunSwimRun event in St. Ives on Sunday. It consisted of five runs and four swims in the River Ouse over a 6.4km course. He was very pleased with result coming seventh out of 24 starters and first male 50 plus. It was quite challenging getting in and out of the river. Nick says it was well organised and marshalled well and reports he had his lucky FVS vest on under his wet suit.
More Spartans have enjoyed some “real” races.
GRANT RAMSAY was at the Milton Keynes Enigma Marathon.
To be Covid compliant the event was capped to 30 runners with a rolling start and full social distancing in place.
